Navin brings with him more than 17 years of rich experience in the sales and distribution management spectrum. Navin has completed his Masters in Business Management from Mumbai University. He has worked for 12 years across several parts of India (Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai) and has held zonal responsibilities in the south and the north. For the past 5 years he has worked across 13 markets in Asia (while being based at Singapore). His last assignment with Citi as the Head of Sales & Distribution for the Retail Bank for Asia Pacific, saw him operate with and influence performance of over 4000 sales personnel based at over 450 distribution points across Asia - in highly sophisticated markets such as Hong Kong and Singapore, to markets with complex distribution networks as Korea, to emerging Asian markets like Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia, while adapting to unique cultures in each market.
K. Ramanathan heads the Fixed Income & Structured Products’ asset class at ING Investment Management India since March 2006. As part of the senior management team at ING IM, he is credited to have ensured the consistent top two quartile performance of ING Short term Fund, ING Income Fund and ING Gilt fund. The first two schemes have been rated 5 stars by ICRA and Morning Star respectively over a three year horizon – a testimony to consistent performance. A pioneer in innovation, he is credited to have designed and launched India’s first AAA rated CPPI based fund in the mutual fund format. Called ING Dynamic Asset Allocation fund, it won the ‘most innovative fund’ award by Asia Asset Monitor, Hong Kong. ING life insurance India has roped him to design and manage the risks for their ‘Guaranteed return fund’. This has a high guaranteed return with a reasonably high exposure to equity. He had a short tenure with Lehmann Brothers India from October 2005 to Feb 2006. Earlier he worked with Birla Sun Life AMC in various capacities from January 1998 as Senior Credit Analyst to September 2005 as ‘Asst. Vice President / Fund Manager – Fixed Income’. During his tenure, Birla Income plus (BIP) was consistently ranked CPR1/CPR2 by CRISIL for the 2 year period ended December 2004 and won the ‘fund of the year’ award in the CRISIL-CNBC awards 2005. Another fund Birla MIP (monthly income plan) was awarded the ‘fund of the year’ over a one-year horizon by CNBC-BNP Paribas in 2004. He started his career in June 1995 as a rating analyst with Credit Analysis & Research Ltd. (CARE). In July 1997, he was made ‘Senior Rating Analyst’ a position that he held till January 1998. He was a part of the team that advised the ‘Disinvestment Commission, Govt. of India’ on divestment strategies for MTNL. Mr. Bansal brings to ING Investment Management India, rich experience of over 10 years in investments & corporate finance. At ING IM India, he is responsible for overseeing the Multi Manager Investment function. In addition, he is a key member of the Management Committee and also provides key inputs in the areas of conceptualization & design of Multi Manager Products. Before taking the responsibility of a CIO for multi-manager products at ING IM, he was instrumental in setting up the off-shore fund in Mauritius. An engineer by training, Arvind holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business.
Prashanth brings over 12 years of experience to the ING Investment Management. He began his career as a Business Consultant with Oracle India. Prior to his MBA from the Indian School of Business, he was founder-promoter and head of India office of GlobeTrades.com. With his engineering background & an MBA in Analytical Finance, he has meticulously developed his expertise in both investments & platform solutions. Post his MBA, he has been with Citibank in various roles, including Citibank Investment Bank in Singapore where he was a Structured Products Specialist managing a deal flow in excess of USD 200 million a month. He has been instrumental in setting up the Private Banking Platform for Citibank and building the investments business.
Mitesh holds a Master in Business Law from National Law School of Bangalore, a Masters of Law from Mumbai University and is also a qualified Company Secretary. He has about nine years experience in compliance, legal and secretarial functions, and has been extensively involved in setting up legal, statutory and compliance structures for new businesses, i.e. Mutual Funds, FII Advisory, Portfolio Management and Wealth Management. Prior to joining Optimix, Mitesh was Associate Vice President (Legal and Compliance) at Dawnay Day AV Financial Services, where he was instrumental in obtaining the required statutory and business licenses of the groups Portfolio Management, Mutual Fund and Stock Broking Businesses in India. Previously, he worked with ABNAMROAsset Management and HSBC Asset Management.
